Where Caring For Your Loved One is Our Priority

When faced with the challenges of aging and illness, finding the right health care solution for you or your loved one can be difficult. At Cooperative Elder Services, Inc. (CESI) we provide a caring and secure alternative to nursing homes for seniors and adults with medical or cognitive challenges.

CESI is a non-profit organization that has provided adult day health care for more than fifty communities in the Greater Boston area since 1978. At our vibrant, community-based centers, a licensed nurse is always on site. Staff is trained in specialized care for participants with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases and related dementia. Roundtrip transportation is available. Participants in CESI’s day programs engage in recreation activities and enjoy well-balanced meals under the supervision of healthcare professionals, while family caregivers gain respite and support. As a community-based organization, we are able to provide nursing care and services at a price that is less than one-fifth the cost of a day in a nursing home facility.

“CESI has made such a difference in our lives. My husband (with Alzheimer’s) has been attending the day program for two years now and liked it from the beginning. He always feels welcomed there. It has allowed me (his wife and caregiver) some breathing space and also provided a valuable source of support. The staff treats family members as part of the team. Our plan is for my husband to stay living at our home for as long as possible. I’m really not sure this would be feasible without the respite that CESI provides to me and the positive experience it provides to my husband.”

CESI is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and certified by MassHealth. Cooperative Elder Services, Inc. is an equal opportunity provider.
